Holiday Look #3: "A Very Berry Holiday!"

Hello everyone!! I want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. Today I completed a beautiful berry holiday look using plums, cranberry, and browns. I hope you all enjoy!

Face:

-Start out with a freshly cleansed face, and apply your foundation, concealer, powder, contour/highlight, and add a beautiful plum/mauve blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes:

-Apply an eyeshadow primer or base to the eyelid.

-Apply a cranberry eyeshadow to the entire eyelid.

-Apply a shimmery brown shadow to the crease of the eye.

-Next apply a deep purple in the outer portion, or outer v of the eyelid. This will add depth to the eye.

-Apply the same deep purple shadow to the bottom waterline area.

-Add a navy colored liner to the top part of the eyelid.

-Apply a matte vanilla shadow to the brow bone area, and inner corner of the eye.

-Lastly, finish with your favorite mascara.

Lips:

-Line the lips with a plum or mauve lip liner. My favorite lipliner is Wet N' Wild's 666 pencil (Only $.99 at the drugstore!) Apply a plum colored lipstick to the lips! :)

Holiday Look #1: Gold & Red

My recent post of my gold/red holiday look was deleted by accident. To get this look follow the directions below.

Pop those eyes and lips this holiday using beautiful shades of gold and red together.

Start with a clean face, and apply foundation to the skin to give. A flawless finish.

Remember to apply a setting powder to the skin to keep your makeup on all day long.

Also, contour, highlight, and add a beautiful mauve colored blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes:

-Apply an eyeshadow base to the eye lids. This will prevent creasing, and keep your eyeshadow on all day long :).

-Apply a beautiful gold color to the entire eye lid. Wing out the gold shadow to give a dramatic cat eye look.

-Apply the same gold color to the lower waterline, to give the effect of eye liner.

-Blend a soft neutral brown into the crease, to give a beautiful blended effect.

-Add a beautiful matte vanilla eye shadow under the brow bone, and in the inner corner of the eye.

-Apply a soft brown kohl liner to the top and bottom waterline.

-Finish the eyes with a great mascara! I recommend Tarte: Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara.

Lips:

-Apply a beautiful deep red lipstick or gloss to the lips. Fill in the lines around the lips with a red lip liner to plump up those lips! :)

Holiday Look #2! Navy Smokey Eye

Hi everyone! I am so happy I get to share my favorite holiday looks with you all. Today I completed a Navy/Gold smokey eye, followed by a beautiful nude lip. I hope you enjoy!

1.) Step 1! Complete your foundation routine to give you an even canvas to work with.

2.) Step 2! Set with a powder, and begin to contour using a matte bronzer.

3.) Step 3! Blush and highlight :).

4.) Step 4! The Eyes

-Start by priming the eyes with an eyeshadow primer.

-Using a dark navy blue eyeshadow, place this color on just the eyelid. Make sure to work this color well into the upper lash line.

-Using a light neutral brown, blend this color into the crease using windshield wiper motions. We use this to warm up the look, and blend out any harsh lines.

-Using a light gold or beige color use this as your highlight color, or place below the brown bone.

-Using the navy color, smudge a bit on the lower lash line, and add a touch of the gold to the inner corner of the eye.

-Using black liner, line the top water line.

-Finish the eyes with a black or brown mascara!

5.) Complete this look with a neutral lipstick, and pop some gloss on the center of the lip to give them a pop! :)

List of products used to complete this look:

-Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc

-Maybelline Age Rewind Under Eye Concealer

-Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Light Plus

-Tarte Matte Waterproof Clay Bronzer

-Mac Breathe of Plum Blush

Lights, Camera, Lashes!

Recently I received a sample of Tarte Cosmetics Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. The first time I used it, I wasn't sure how I completely felt about it. For the last 7 months I have been using Blinc mascara, which I LOVE! I decided I needed a change in my mascara because the Blinc can be very heavy, and weigh your lashes down. Two weeks ago, I figured I would give my Tarte mascara sample a try. Let me just say that I fell in LOVE Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara!!

Not only does this mascara lengthen your lashes and give them a nice curl, but it also does not contain bad chemicals or petroleum, which is found in a lot of mascaras! Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes is great for someone with sensitive eyes. I really recommend it for all mascara lovers out there! This mascara didn't flake, was very build-able, and did not irritate my eyes at all. The harsh chemicals that are found in most mascaras are not good for your eyes health, so why not use a great product that is also wonderful for your eyes!

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes retails for $19.00, and can be found online at Tartecosmetics.com, Ulta Beauty, and Sephora.

They also make this mascara in waterproof as well called Lights, Camera, Splashes!

Makeup Storage

Hi everyone!! I hope all is well. I have been very busy trying to balance my two jobs, and apologize for not updating posts sooner. I am going to try and write new blog posts at least once a week :). I have been testing out many new products on the market, and can't wait to share them with you. I started brainstorming different ideas for my blog, and realized I have not done a post on my makeup storage.

Over the past year, I have been trying to figure out the best way to store the makeup I use daily. I really wanted to have a vanity in my room, but did not have enough room to have one. About 6 months ago, I was walking through Michael's Arts and Crafts store, and came across a scrap book bag. My light bulb went off, and I realized I could use a scrap book bag for my makeup storage! I just so happened to have a 40% off one item coupon for Michael's, and bought the bag for around $15.00. It fits a ton of my makeup, as well as the many brushes I own. Below are pictures of my makeup bag.

This bag fits perfect in my tiny bookshelf in my room, and I can carry it anywhere. I grab it in the morning, and bring it into the bathroom to complete my makeup routine. It is also great to travel with, and keeps everything nice and neat!
