Neon Eyes!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. One of my Christmas presents this year was the new Urban Decay Vice Palette. This eyeshadow palette is filled with some awesome nude and neon (bright colors). I've been dying to do some fun looks using it. I've created several looks using the Vice Palette. Enjoy!

I started this look by completing the eyes first. This palette contains a lot of shadows that leave a lot of "fall out," or dust under the eyes. If you begin doing the eyes first, then just use a makeup remover wipe or q-tip to clean it up.

For this look I used a black base to make the neon blue pop! I did not take this color past the crease. I wanted it to be wearable for the day time, so I kept the main color on the lid.

Next, I swept a nude color into the crease just to add a little bit of definition.

To finish the eyes I added a soft brown liner to the bottom water line, and a shimmery white under the brow bone.

I kept the lips and cheeks very nude. If you go crazy with the eyes try and keep the rest of your look simple.

Topped with mascara, and I was ready to go!

Eminence Organic Skincare of Hungary

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

For the last 6 months, I have been working as a licensed Esthetician at a great spa! The skincare line that the spa provides is called Eminence Organic Skincare of Hungary.

Eminence Organic Skincare of Hungary is a 100% Certified Organic skincare line. It is made from fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices. In the Hungarian culture, women truly believe the secret to beautiful skin is right from the earth's own ingredients. These "ingredients"are planted by hand, and handpicked. Eminence Organic is truly a Go-Green Company! They use solar energy to produce their products, and their boxes and containers are made from recycled products!

Eminence products are made very concentrated! This means a little goes a long way. You can add a little bit of product in one hand, and water in the other. This will help give slip to the product to easily move around the face, and will not change the concentration as well. You will be able to use less product, which in the end will last you a lot longer than other brands.

Eminence products do run a little pricey. Anywhere from $20-100. I always tell my clients, "You get what you pay for." These products are very concentrated, which means you will see a faster result in your skin. Remember a little goes a long way! Your skin will LOVE this product line, as well as your whole body!

Eminence products are created for ALL skin types! You can mix and match all different products to fit your skin. For example:

Cleanser: Stone Crop Cleanser (For sensitive, uneven tone, & natural lighter)

Toner: Lemon Tonique (Helps control oil)

Masque: Firming Aqui Masque (Anti-aging masque)

Serum: Stone Crop (Will help decrease inflammation under the skin and help lighten dark spots)

Moisturizer: Stone Crop Moisturizer

Natural Makeup Application

During the week when I am very busy with work, I love to do a natural makeup look that is quick and easy. Below I have listed my routine for a natural makeup application.

1.) Cleanse and moisturize your face.

2.) Apply a light or full coverage depending on your preference. In the photos below I used Kat Von D Full Coverage Foundation in number #46.

2.) Apply concealer to areas needed. I used Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer in #16.

3.) Apply a pressed setting powder, and contour face. Add a neutral blush to the cheeks.

4.) Apply an eyeshadow base to your eye lids. Using a light vanilla or light shimmer color apply to the entire lid. In the crease I applied a light peach color for some depth.

5.) Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

6.) Lastly apply a neutral lipstick or gloss to finish. Don't forget to put a lip balm under your lipstick for added moisturize and protection!

Daily Skincare Routine

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a stress-free week with all of the holidays here, and right around the corner. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Lately, I have been having some breakouts around my forehead, and a few on my chin. They aren't terrible, but they are driving me crazy. I am not sure if the ones on my forehead have been caused from coloring my hair from blonde to red. It is a different color line, than I have used in the past. I did begin breaking out on my forehead right after I colored it. For the past 2 months I have trying to figure out how to clear my skin. As an Esthetician, I have been testing several different skincare techniques to help my skin. Below I have shared my new skincare routine, along with a list of products!! :)

1.) Cleanser: Cerave Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin. I always cleanse my face first thing in the morning, and right before bed. No makeup to bed! Remember the way to prevent fine lines and wrinkles is preventative steps....aka before it happens. Starting young is never too soon! I also never use hot water on my skin. I only use warm because it is gentle on the skin. I use 2 pumps of cleanser, mixed with a tiny bit of water. I use circular motions for about 2 minutes, then rinse. Don't forget to check out my favorite cleaner post with a review on Cerave!

2.) Exfoliator: Eminence Organic Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant. This product is a powder substance. Sprinkle a small amount into your hands. Using a small amount of warm water, mix together in your hands. Work this product into your face for 2 minutes, and rinse. I only do this step 2-3 times a week. I try and spread it out, so I am not stripping the oils from my skin.

3.) Masque: Eminence Organic Strawberry Rhubarb Masque. This masque is amazing! It not only adds in hydration, had anti-aging products, but helps control my breakouts as well! It truly is amazing, and a little goes a long way. I use this masque 3 times a week currently. I add a small amount to a damp face, and massage into my skin for about 30 seconds. Then I let it sit for 10 minutes (while I am in the shower). Then rinse off, and your skin will feel like butter!

4.) Spot Treatment: Clean and Clear acne Gel Treatment. This is a spot treatment that is used just for blemishes. I use this at night before bed. I place a small amount of the blemish, and slightly dab my finger on it to push the product into the skin. This works great on blemishes!

5.) Eye cream: Eminence Organic Wild Plum Eye Cream. This is a great under eye cream, used twice a day. It helps with dark circles, puffiness, and add moisture to the eye area. I take my ring finger to add a pin drop size to each eye, and slightly dab the area to help the eyes absorb the product. Remember the skin under your eye is the thinnest on your body, so always use gentle pressure on them. This will prevent fine lines and wrinkles!

5.) Moisturizer: Cerave AM and PM Moisturizer. I love these moisturizers! They are great for all skin types. I use two pumps when using this product, and apply in circular motions until absorbed. Don't forget to always moisturize after you cleanse, exfoliate, or masque! The AM contains SPF 30. This is great because ya 2 products in 1! Don't forget even if you have oily skin or acne you need to moisturize. Look for oil-free in your products to help prevent oil buildup if your have oily/problematic skin types! If you are feeling extra dry: as soon as you cleanse your face, and your face is still damp, add your moisturizer immediately. This will lock in extra moisturizer! :)

If you have any questions about your skin or products please feel free to email me at Kahleydanielle@gmail.com or check out my Facebook page Kahley Danielle's Makeup Artistry! :)

You can purchase Cerave products at the drugstore, as well as Clean and Clear. Eminence Organics can be purchased through an Eminence Retailer, or myself! :) Eminence Organics is a 100% Certified Organic Skincare Line made in Hungary. I will be posting a review very soon.

Holiday Look #1: Gold & Red

My recent post of my gold/red holiday look was deleted by accident. To get this look follow the directions below.

Pop those eyes and lips this holiday using beautiful shades of gold and red together.

Start with a clean face, and apply foundation to the skin to give. A flawless finish.

Remember to apply a setting powder to the skin to keep your makeup on all day long.

Also, contour, highlight, and add a beautiful mauve colored blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes:

-Apply an eyeshadow base to the eye lids. This will prevent creasing, and keep your eyeshadow on all day long :).

-Apply a beautiful gold color to the entire eye lid. Wing out the gold shadow to give a dramatic cat eye look.

-Apply the same gold color to the lower waterline, to give the effect of eye liner.

-Blend a soft neutral brown into the crease, to give a beautiful blended effect.

-Add a beautiful matte vanilla eye shadow under the brow bone, and in the inner corner of the eye.

-Apply a soft brown kohl liner to the top and bottom waterline.

-Finish the eyes with a great mascara! I recommend Tarte: Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara.

Lips:

-Apply a beautiful deep red lipstick or gloss to the lips. Fill in the lines around the lips with a red lip liner to plump up those lips! :)

Holiday Look #2! Navy Smokey Eye

Hi everyone! I am so happy I get to share my favorite holiday looks with you all. Today I completed a Navy/Gold smokey eye, followed by a beautiful nude lip. I hope you enjoy!

1.) Step 1! Complete your foundation routine to give you an even canvas to work with.

2.) Step 2! Set with a powder, and begin to contour using a matte bronzer.

3.) Step 3! Blush and highlight :).

4.) Step 4! The Eyes

-Start by priming the eyes with an eyeshadow primer.

-Using a dark navy blue eyeshadow, place this color on just the eyelid. Make sure to work this color well into the upper lash line.

-Using a light neutral brown, blend this color into the crease using windshield wiper motions. We use this to warm up the look, and blend out any harsh lines.

-Using a light gold or beige color use this as your highlight color, or place below the brown bone.

-Using the navy color, smudge a bit on the lower lash line, and add a touch of the gold to the inner corner of the eye.

-Using black liner, line the top water line.

-Finish the eyes with a black or brown mascara!

5.) Complete this look with a neutral lipstick, and pop some gloss on the center of the lip to give them a pop! :)
